Between the golf course and the forest, succumb to Anglet's unique way of life!
From the Montbrun district, the green lane, reserved for bicycles, promises a quiet ride through the magnificent pine forest. Disconnection is guaranteed! In the middle of the pines and ferns, the city and the ocean seem very far away. The plant smells and the absolute calm of the place are very soothing.
At the end, a cycle track awaits you and takes you through the peaceful district of Chiberta, its lake, its Basque or architect's houses in the shade of the pines and its two golf courses, ideally situated between ocean and forest.
On the way back, you will once again pass along the Pignada forest, a wooded area that offers a shaded and cool area, ideal for walks and the practice of numerous sporting activities.

Don't miss
  • Forêt du Pignada
    Pignada Forest (Nature site)

‘Ma e pignada per m'aida’: The sea and the pine forest are my helpers. Anglet's motto perfectly reflects the town's unique character, where the ocean meets the forest. Located just a stone's throw from the beaches, this 250-hectare wooded area covers nearly 10% of the municipality's surface area. The Pignada Forest was partially destroyed in the terrible fire of 30 July 2020.

  • Golf de Chiberta
    Chiberta Golf Course (Panorama)

Perhaps the most beautiful course in the region, the Chiberta Golf Course is divided between the pine forest and the seaside in the purest spirit of British links.

  • Villa Prinkipo
    Villa Prinkipo (Heritage)

An enigmatic and massive pink-coloured building, this villa surrounded by a magnificent garden has a vaguely Arab-Andalusian feel. It is actually a replica of an Ottoman fort located on an island in the Bosphorus. The villa belonged to a wealthy American, who had it built so that he could indulge in his favourite sport, golf.

  • Les Compagnons
Compagnons du Tour de France Training Centre (Cultural site)

The Compagnons du Tour de France d'Anglet train skilled men and women to implement construction systems. The remarkable building houses an exhibition hall that is open to the public free of charge. Among the works on display is a model of the roof structure of Notre-Dame.
