Exhibition from April 1 to early October 2026

Villa Arnaga is the museum of Edmond Rostand, author of "Cyrano de Bergerac", who had this villa built and lived in it until his death. Several famous actors and actresses from the Comédie-Française, including Sarah Bernhardt and Coquelin aîné, were part of the author's entourage, and contributed to his success by creating his most memorable roles.

The relationship between Rostand and the Comédie-Française is a kind of passionate and complicated soap opera. The author entered the Répertoire in 1894, with "Les Romanesques" and "Cyrano de Bergerac" in 1938.

The Comédie-Française is exhibiting several works from its collections, echoing the works and documents on display at Villa Arnaga. The Villa Arnaga gardens will be decked out in the colors of the Comédie-Française.
