Although the beginnings of the Thermes de Cambo are not precisely known, oral tradition records an annual pilgrimage to the Cambo springs on June 23. Local residents came to collect the healing waters, a custom that lasted until the early 20th century.
Our guide, Fabrice, will take you back through the history of Cambo's spa industry from the 16th century onwards. You'll discover how French and foreign aristocrats came to enjoy the waters, as well as the historical events that tipped Cambo towards air conditioning, to the detriment of thermalism.
